Today’s Follow Friday recommendation isn’t a blog; it’s a community of cooks disguised as a blog. Go check out Food52. I’m a latecomer to the site, but it’s outrageously fun, cooperative, and foodielicious.
The basic premise is this: Once a week, they announce a theme. Home cooks make recipes based on the theme, and then people vote to see which recipe will go into the next Food52 cookbook.
One week, I tried my hand at beef burgers; this week, I tested someone else’s recipe: Summer Corn Soufflé with Chipotle and Lime. (You can see my notes on the recipe, including the kid’s reaction, at that link.)
If you’re a home cook who loves a creative challenge, this is a great place to hang out. See you there!

This looks tasty!
OMG that’s so gorgeous! I might even try it…. if I can get little dishes that would fit in my toaster oven. Souffle on a boat – that would be awesome.
Okay, now my brain is battling “I’m on a boat. With a souffle.” with “Souffles on a muthafuckin’ plane”. My brain is so weird.
