OPMF: Link Roundup

[OPMF = Other People’s Mom Food]

Seems like every ten days or so, I have a day when there’s no post ready for the next day, and nothing I’ve cooked today to share with you. On those days, I’m so happy for all of YOU, because I get to pull out the trusty list I keep of Mom Food posts out in the wild, as it were. Here are a few of the great ones I’ve run across between the last OPMF post and now. See if you think they’re as great as I do:

Mary at Deep South Dish makes her Mama’s Watergate Salad

Beth of OMG Yummy evokes the homey memories of people of diverse backgrounds with the same beautiful fall dinner

Lana of Bibberche has fond memories of her mother’s excellent dinner parties

Christy of Southern Plate makes Mama Reed’s Southern Tea Cakes and talks about the food threads that wind through families

Spicy Green Mango makes some Lao chicken noodle soup — with homemade noodles! — that really remind her of home. This is her Project Food Blog entry; if you’re a FoodBuzz member and you like it, please vote!

And still on the noodle theme, Jen of Tiny Urban Kitchen looks for Taiwanese noodles in Boston and doesn’t find them, so she makes them for her Project Food Blog entry. Again, if you like it, and I cannot imagine not being totally fascinated and enchanted by this video, please vote!
