I miss this blog. I mean, I’ve posted now and then, but since the Angel of Death descended upon our house in May, I’ve been mostly dealing with the death and illness that have plagued our family. I think I’m mostly back now, though I do start school in a month, so now my challenge is to find ways to be here in the limited time I will have. I think I can do it, don’t you?
Some notes from the homefront:
1) The burger that’s this coming week’s French Fridays dish was a big hit with James and with the kid, who just returned from eleven days at my mom’s. More about that on Friday.
2) Also on Friday, my long-awaited Follow Friday post about one of my very favorite internet friends, Laura of Hey What’s For Dinner Mom?
3) Oops, no more notes. James wants to watch a bad old horror movie, and I am So There.
4) [Edit: Okay, one more. I'm going to be doing Real Simple's Take Back Dinnertime challenge. Looks like it might help me get back on track. If you click the link, you can learn more about it, and if you register, I get a point, though honest to goodness, I haven't yet figured out what a point is good for.]
See you soon!

I think you can, I think you can … :-)
What “bad old horror movie” was this?
:-) Thanks.
The movie was Vincent Price and Peter Cushing in “Mad House”. Earlier today, we watched “Black Sleep,” with Basil Rathbone, Akim Tamiroff, Lon Chaney Jr., and John Carradine. These are the kinds of movies James and I watch. Total schlock, and, for us, totally fun.
