[This month’s Blog for a Cause topic is breast cancer awareness. This post was hard to write. Please forgive me if it’s less than eloquent.]

Today, I want to talk to you about Patti. It’s not that easy to talk about someone so beautiful who died so young, and was so beloved, but if it can help one woman like Patti, it’s worth it.

There are twenty of us cousins. My mom has five siblings, and among the six of them, they had twenty kids.

Ask any of the remaining of us who the best cousin was, and we’ll all agree: Patti. Come to think of it, we would’ve agreed on this long before she died. She was an angel, and everyone agreed about this. As far as I know, none of us felt jealous of how beloved she was; it was just a fact of life, and it seemed right.

When Patti was diagnosed with breast cancer, she had two small children.

One of my most poignant memories is of an afternoon in the park with Patti and the kids. Patti, bless her soul, was playing catch with the kids. As a ball, she was using her breast prosthesis. She told me it was part of her plan to help the kids accept her illness with humor and grace. I think it worked.

Patti died at 41, many, many years too early.

One thing I have done to try to help make it so that there won’t be more senseless deaths like this is to join the Army of Women. Here’s a little bit about the Army. I hope you’ll consider joining.

The Love/Avon Army of Women offers women the opportunity to partner with the scientists who are conducting research that will end this disease–once and for all.

Breast cancer has been around for decades, but it does not have to be our future. We can be the generation that stops breast cancer once and for all by figuring out what causes this disease and how to prevent it!

Sign up for your sister, mother, daughter, granddaughter, best friend, and the woman you met last week. This is YOUR chance to be part of the research that will end breast cancer.

It takes a just a minute to join. But the impact we will have will last a lifetime.

Please Join Me in Being One in a Million!

I joined for Patti. I hope you’ll join, too, if you can, and that one day, breast cancer will be a thing of the past.

The effects are not only strong, but they tend to last a long time, say researchers. According to research published in the British Medical Journal, older guys who had sex once a month had double the mortality rate compared to the guys the cheap nhl jerseys same age who were having sex once a week. Liufau finished the 2013 season with 1,779 yards passing and improved to 3,200 as a sophomore. A good number to target is about 1 2 lbs a month. The reason for this is because it is difficult to put on muscle and lose body fat at the same time. The rocketing savagery of the game became such a public concern because of a lot of wounds and deaths, that some colleges banned it. President Theodore Roosevelt even promised Cheap NFL Jerseys to ban the game and advised Harvard, Princeton, and Yale to assist in generating adjustments or lose the game. Expectations are high for the title. With sales of 9 10 million through FY16 anticipated by the company, which are up significantly from 6.62 million titles sold for 2005’s Star Wars: Battlefront II, the new Battlefront angles to be a key piece of the year’s earnings for Electronic Arts in 2016 given its otherwise somewhat underwhelming upcoming release schedule.Investors are hungry for yield. And as interest rates have remained depressed since the financial crisis, many investors have flocked to high dividend stocks like AT (NYSE:T). However, AT is a company in decline. Its wireline business continues to decline, and its wireless business can no longer grow fast enough to offset the declines. AT relatively recent purchase of DIRECTV was a short sighted decision to acquire a sputtering stream of free cash flows to postpone an AT dividend cut. We believe AT very high 5.6% dividend yield is a red herring meant to fake oakleys distract investors from recognizing the company’s lack of long term total return opportunities.

I run The Mom Food Project, which was born out of love for my mom and a desire to preserve the recipes of my childhood, which didn't actually exist in written form until I quizzed my mom and wrote the recipes down.
