Yesterday’s post of Chris’s historical gingerbread cookies marked the return to regular posting on the blog. We will be updating Mondays (often Mertie’s Mondays; don’t you love all that New England food, and the fascinating background essays that go with them?), Wednesdays, and French Fridays. Occasionally, as today, we will make trivial/chatty posts on the other days of the week, but the meat of it, as it were, will be MWF.

Today is the last day of my four-day weekend, and I’m off to Guy’s to wish him a happy birthday and maybe make some more food for his freezer. They’re having a rough time over there, and being able to pull some enchiladas out of the freezer can help in times like these.

[Edit: Oh, my gosh, this week’s French Friday is MEAT in BOOZE! Perfect birthday dinner for Guy. Off to the store first!]

The NFL’s is the flashiest and also the simplest, a natural extension of college football which is a huge industry in its own right and provides virtually the entire talent pool of the professional league. The NBA basketball draft, consisting of just two rounds and spiced by foreign megastars like Yao Ming and Dirk Nowitzki, may well be the most fun. I’m about to state something this angry New Yorker never thought he would: I like Tom Brady and think he’s the greatest quarterback of all time. Not only do I believe that, I also admire him for persevering in the face of overwhelming odds and for what we term today as “haters.”. Modern society basically forces you to have a credit card: Your credit score is greatly affected by it, and that sucker is used to determine everything from your employment to your eligibility to rent a home to whether or not you will be spared when the ant people take over the world. Yet so much of the industry is unknown, cloaked behind financial doublespeak and straight up lies. We spoke with “Megan,” who worked as a customer service agent for one of the biggest credit and loan companies in the country. Choosing the right codec and container is the most important part of the process. Many sites, such as YouTube, recommend codecs such as cheap jordans online MPEG 2 and H.264 because they retain quality while compressing file size significantly. DivX, and its generic counterpart Xvid, also have excellent reputations as high quality, small file size codecs.. Whether you a fan of the game or just of game day food, there no denying the appeal of football cuisine. For this month recommendations, I set out to assemble an all star lineup of the best of Food Network Library tailgating cookbooks. I fast found Fake Oakleys myself slipping down a rabbit hole into a vast and unfamiliar world of community cookbooks devoted to collegiate tailgating a world where the hockey jerseys NCAA begins to look like one massive Junior League that as devoted to recipes as to pass cheap oakleys sunglasses receptions..
