It’s still Pantry Cooking Month around here, and I thought I’d do a little planning, since I’m going to have a busy week at work this week. We’re enjoying the cold-weather soup binge we’re on, so I’ll continue that for a couple days. I’ll put the items I need to buy in brackets.

Tonight: James’s potato soup
Tomorrow: Salmon chowder (what we call lox-and-bagels soup around here)
Tuesday: Slow-cooked pork and sauerkraut over noodles
Wednesday: Spaghetti with meat sauce; garlic rolls; salad or veggie [veggies]
Thursday: Fried rice with lots of veggies [veggies; possibly eggs by that time]
Friday: Chili dogs [possibly onions if we’re out by then]
Saturday: Something leftoverish to clean out the fridge and start on a new week

  1. I am loving your plan! Especially the slow cooked pork.. Yuuummm. Unfortunately for me, hubby is away this week so no point having a plan, hehe. Will probably eat leftovers / simple salads or omelettes all week. Great to meet you via Quay Po! ;)

      Sometimes, I do plan food when I’m on my own, but usually, I just eat what strikes my fancy. To be honest, I kind of miss those days. :-)
