Well, I didn’t do a big once-a-month cooking session in August, because as it turns out, my post-furlough half-a-paycheck didn’t stretch that far. However, I’m all ready for the September one. I even, brilliantly, got the kid on board, so she’ll do a bunch of the prep and cleanup for with me. How did I do this? I got her involved in choosing what foods we’ll make.

I asked her to list her top 7 favorite foods, but asked her to choose from the less expensive end of our menus—no big slabs of meat—and to choose things that will freeze easily. She found this fun, and we sat for maybe an hour trying to think of all her favorite things. Once we had a list of things she loved, you can imagine that this big cooking day was starting to sound more attractive to her, and she offered—offered!—to help with it. I added one (spaghetti sauce) and deleted a couple from her list (I’ll make lasagna next month with the saved sauce) but she’ll be happy with the end result, I think.

So. Drumroll, please. This is our list of foods for next week’s cooking. I’ll be shopping on Thursday the 1st, organizing and picking up last-minute produce on Saturday, and COOKING ALL THE THINGS on Sunday.

1) Twice-baked potatoes
2) Cheeseburger buns
3) Homemade chicken potstickers
4) Bean burritos
5) Potato soup
6) Spaghetti sauce
7) The baking mix for making corn fritters (they’re not good frozen, but she’d like to be able to add the wet ingredients and make them when she’s in the mood for them)

We’re going to make four meals’ worth (roughly) of each food (more than that for the burritos, because they’re good lunches), so we’ve got around a month’s worth of dinners here.

If anyone wants to see my hilariously fussy shopping list for all this, do let me know and I’ll post it on Saturday.

In many ways, Ryan is a modern Parcells, a large and in charge charismatic man who knows the game inside out and can get the best from players by espousing a team first, believe in yourself philosophy. Of course, it helps when you have a superior running game and a defence that has played mostly brilliantly in recent weeks.Small Forward 2: G. Hayward Gordon Hayward confuses me to death. He is fully capable of exceeding 40 fantasy points but rarely does so. I like his matchup tonight so I am going to pick him, despite the fact that my gut tells me to go with Butler at small forward and use the extra salary money to drop Hayward and go with Gay. Hopefully, I will not regret it tomorrow!Enroll in a Bikram yoga class. Yoga is very effective at building up your muscles it is also great at helping you relax. Bikram yoga is done in a room that’s 105 degrees. This temperature helps you sweat out impurities and toxins, this can help burn off the extra layer of fat around and reduce water weight. The two time Super Bowl winner has done well in recent seasons to hold onto his job as the Giants have been without a play off appearance since their famous championship win in 2011. If they fail cheap nfl jerseys to make the post season again, Coughlin will struggle to hold onto his position.Group matchups are another way “matchup betting” is used which is particularly popular in golf and auto racing events like NASCAR, where you can select whether a leading competitor or a few other lesser competitors will finisher higher amongst the group, with the odds again based on money lines. Since golf and NASCAR both have pre qualifying, not everybody makes the cut to the final day of competition, and these group matchups require all individuals to qualify in order to be eligible for action. We’re working with our wide receivers right now and we’re working on some patterns they can run to get themselves open and hopefully make a big play for your offense. We’re going to cheap oakley sunglasses talk about the post route. It’s very similar to the slant route except we want to go a little deeper with it and more straight across as opposed to a 45 degree angle. The quick slant route is to get us a quick pass in the middle to try to go behind the linebackers and pick up about 5 or 6 yards. With a post route we want to pick up more like 10, 12 or 15 yards. So, we want to go a little deeper. We’ll have our receiver push Cheap NFL Authentic Jerseys the defensive back off. When he gets about 8 to 10 yards he’ll head across the cheap china jerseys field and the quarterback will throw him more of a deep pattern and let him go get the ball. Let’s run it at full speed instead of the walk through (video demo). One thing to make sure of in the post route is that you really push that defensive back and get him in the back peddle so they think you’re going long. Then, you’ll break it off and go straight across Fake Oakleys the field and the quarterback will try wholesale football jerseys to hit you with more of a deep route than the slant (video demo). You can see he took more of a deep route and we picked up a lot more yardage than we would if we just oakley outlet ran a quick slant. That’s called a post route.

I run The Mom Food Project, which was born out of love for my mom and a desire to preserve the recipes of my childhood, which didn't actually exist in written form until I quizzed my mom and wrote the recipes down.

    1. My kid will be especially pleased, because she gets really cranky when there’s nothing around to eat that she can make in 30 seconds or less. ;-)

  1. Yeah i used to do that to but after a while unfreezing stuff resulted more fatigue and wasted time than cooking every day..

    1. Interesting. I just take out something every night for the next day, so it seems to work for us, but yeah, it’s not for everyone.
