[OPMF = Other People’s Mom Food]

Seems like every ten days or so, I have a day when there’s no post ready for the next day, and nothing I’ve cooked today to share with you. On those days, I’m so happy for all of YOU, because I get to pull out the trusty list I keep of Mom Food posts out in the wild, as it were. Here are a few of the great ones I’ve run across between the last OPMF post and now. See if you think they’re as great as I do:

Mary at Deep South Dish makes her Mama’s Watergate Salad

Beth of OMG Yummy evokes the homey memories of people of diverse backgrounds with the same beautiful fall dinner

Lana of Bibberche has fond memories of her mother’s excellent dinner parties

Christy of Southern Plate makes Mama Reed’s Southern Tea Cakes and talks about the food threads that wind through families

Spicy Green Mango makes some Lao chicken noodle soup — with homemade noodles! — that really remind her of home. This is her Project Food Blog entry; if you’re a FoodBuzz member and you like it, please vote!

And still on the noodle theme, Jen of Tiny Urban Kitchen looks for Taiwanese noodles in Boston and doesn’t find them, so she makes them for her Project Food Blog entry. Again, if you like it, and I cannot imagine not being totally fascinated and enchanted by this video, please vote!

After losing Julius Peppers to the Packers, it was clear the Bears needed a stud defensive specialist to lead the team. Looks like Chicago found their hockey jerseys man. They signed veteran defensive end Jared Allen, formerly of the Minnesota Vikings, to a four year contract worth $32 million on Wednesday morning. The first two years of his contract and bonus are guaranteed. In turn, Allen will receive at least $15.5 million. The six cheap oakleys year player has been to the Pro Bowl four times and ranks 12th in the NFL (2nd among active players) with a total of 128.5 career sacks. No one has yet written An Ode to a Plastic Bucket, but perhaps someone should. From making sand castles to mopping kitchen floors and washing cars, a plastic bucket is indispensable. Heavy duty buckets are used in the home, in industry, at construction sites, on the farm, and everywhere else that tough, reliable, and inexpensive carrying capacity is needed. As sturdy as plastic is, though, buckets sometimes develop a small hole or crack. When that happens, there are some effective first aid measures for repairing a wounded bucket.Accordingly, we are initiating fiscal 2017 adjusted EPS guidance of $2.70 to $3.10. This guidance assumes approximately $0.20 of earnings per share from AECOM capital realizations at the midpoint. We also expect full year tax rate to be consistent with the fiscal 2016 rate at approximately 20%. In addition, we expect the full year share count to be approximately 159 million shares, interest expense of approximately $190 million and amortization of intangible assets of approximately $95 million. Importantly, reflecting the strength of our diverse business, we continue to cheap nfl jerseys project free cash flow to be within our $600 million to $800 million guidance range, which will drive additional debt reduction as we work towards achieving greater capital allocation flexibility. On one hand you want the Patriots to succeed. You want Garoppolo to win every single time he takes the field. Forget getting better, if Garoppolo can play about as well these next three weeks as he did in Arizona cheap football jerseys against worse teams and in front of his home fans the Patriots will be 4 0, or at least 3 1. That would be something. That would be a giant middle finger in Roger Goodell’s cheap football jerseys eye and provide Brady with some breathing room. It would be nice for him to come back and not immediately feel like every game has home field advantage on the cheap oakleys line.Much was said about Alabama’s fake ray ban sunglasses inability to hit field goals in that game. But none of the team’s misses, by kickers Cade Foster and Jeremy Shelley, were from less than 44 yards out. And Foster tells The Birmingham Times that he felt “pure joy” when he learned he’d have another chance to beat LSU.

I run The Mom Food Project, which was born out of love for my mom and a desire to preserve the recipes of my childhood, which didn't actually exist in written form until I quizzed my mom and wrote the recipes down.
